Terms and conditions of the Maison Close referral program
(valid from 12/06/2023 to 11/06/2024)
Under the Maison Close Refer-A-Friend scheme, anyone who is familiar with the Maison Close brand (hereinafter referred to as the "Referrer") is encouraged to earn rewards (hereinafter referred to as the "Refer-A-Friend Bonus") by inviting other people (hereinafter referred to as the "Referred Friends") to purchase products for a minimum amount from the www.maison-close.us website (hereinafter referred to as the "Site"), and said Referrers will also be rewarded through the Refer-A-Friend Bonus.
These terms and conditions of the Maison Close Refer-A-Friend scheme apply to Referrers and Referred Friends (together referred to as the "Participants").
Please note that Maison Close may suspend, terminate or modify these Refer-A-Friend scheme conditions at any time and for any reason. A Refer-A-Friend Bonus already earned in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Refer-A-Friend scheme and prior to any modification, suspension or termination, will be honoured in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions then in effect.
Article 1 - Organiser
This Refer-A-Friend scheme is organised by the company Muse Maison Close, a simplified joint stock company, registered in the Marseille Trade and Companies Register under the number SIREN 878760495, whose head office is located at 560, Avenue du Garlaban, 13420, Gemenos, France.

Article 2 - Eligibility
2.1 Referrer conditions
The Referrer must be of legal age, legally responsible and must be a natural person.
They must reside in one of the following countries: France, Canada, Belgium.
Referring oneself is not allowed: a Referrer may not refer themselves or anybody from the same household.
For the Refer-A-Friend to be valid, the Referrer and Referred Friend must be two different people and/or not living in the same household.
The Referrer is not required to have already placed an order with Maison Close.
2.2 Referred Friend conditions
The Referred Friend must be of legal age, legally responsible and must be a natural person. The Referred Friend must not be under guardianship, trusteeship or a ward of court.
The Referred Friend must reside in one of the following countries: France, Canada, Belgium.
The Refer-A-Friend offer is only valid if the Referred Friend has never been a Maison Close customer at the time of ordering.
A Referred Friend can only be referred once and only for their first purchase.
Article 3 - Refer-A-Friend Bonus
- The Refer-A-Friend Bonus can be earned in the following ways:
- The Referrer shares their referral link provided by Maison Close (the "Refer-A-Friend Link"). The Referrer is not allowed to use the Refer-A-Friend Link for paid promotions or online advertising;
- A person who has received this link (the "Referred Friend") must place a definitive order on the Site for the first time, which must not subsequently be cancelled, for an amount of sixty euros (€60) or over after discounts;
- The Referrer will then receive a reward of a fifteen percent (15%) discount, starting from a purchase of sixty euros (€60) or more by the Referred Friend, for each Referred Friend who places an order (without subsequent cancellation) for the first time on the Site;
- The Referrer will also receive a reward of fifteen percent (15%) discount with purchases of sixty euros (€60) and over for their first order on the Site (without subsequent cancellation of this same order);
- The offer will be valid for thirty (30) days from the date the Referrer sends the invite;
- Refer-a-Friend bonuses can be combined. Therefore, if multiple qualifying Refer-A-Friends are applied for under this scheme, the Referrer will receive multiple rewards. A Referrer may not, however, receive more than five (5) rewards in a twenty-four hour period (24h), or twenty-five (25) rewards in a twelve (12) month period.
- The Referrer will receive the Refer-A-Friend Bonus on the day the Referred Friend places the order and only if the Referred Friend does not cancel the order. If the Referred Friend requests a refund for the order that triggered the Refer-A-Friend Bonus, the latter will be revoked (for the Referred Friend and for the Referrer) and will have to be refunded to Maison Close if it has been used in the meantime.
- The Referrer will be notified by email about their reweard when a Referred Friend has made a purchase. However, Maison Close will not share the nature of the product(s) purchased by the Referred Friend with the Referrer.
- Refer-A-Friend Bonuses are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. They cannot be combined with other discount codes or, more generally, with other ongoing offers or promotions.
- The Referrer and the Referrer must in all cases be different people. The Maison Close Refer-A-Friend scheme may only be used on a personal basis and under no circumstances for sales purposes.
- Refer-A-Friend bonuses cannot be combined with ongoing offers.
Article 4 - Display of Refer-A-Friend Links
The Referrer may not share or post the Refer-A-Friend Link if there is no reason to believe that the recipients would appreciate a Refer-A-Friend Link e.g. it leads to something they would not be interested in (meaning it must not be sent as spam).
The Referrer must guarantee that Maison Close and its directors, managers, employees and shareholders will not be liable or subject to claims for unlawful sharing or sending of the Refer-A-Friend Link.
Article 5 - Personal data protection
Maison Close, as the data controller, will process the personal data of the Referrer and the Referred Friend in accordance with the provisions of the French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, for the purposes of the Refer-A-Friend scheme which is the subject matter of these general conditions.
The information Maison Close collects from the Referred Friend as part of the Refer-A-Friend scheme will be processed by Maison Close for the purposes of commercial prospecting, on the basis of its legitimate interest in this area and within the limits laid down by the regulations.
Under the conditions defined by the regulations applicable to personal data collection, the Referrer and the Referred Friend have a right of access, rectification, limitation, portability, deletion and opposition to the processing of their personal data, as well as the option of sending Maison Close their directives about the fate of their data (storage, deletion, communication to a third party, etc.) should they die.
The Referrer and the Referred Friend may exercise these rights by contacting Maison Close by email at the following address: satisfaction@maison-close.com or in writing at the following postal address Muse Maison Close, 560 Avenue du Garlaban, 13420, Gemenos, France.
The Referrer and the Referred Friend also have the right to appeal to a national supervisory authority such as the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (French Data Protection Authority) if there are any breach of the regulations applicable to personal data protection and the GCPR especially.
The Referrer and the Referred Friend are however hereby informed that the above-mentioned personal data processing is mandatory for them to benefit from the Refer-A-Friend offer. Thus, anybody who exercises the right to delete their data before the Refer-A-Friend is validated will be deemed to have renounced their participation in the said offer.
Finally, please note that the Referred Friend will be informed of their Referrer's identity when they are contacted and that the Referred Friend's data will only be used to send them the sales offer that the Referrer has recommended them for. The Referred Friend's data may only be kept for the purpose of sending them other messages after obtaining their express consent.
Article 6 – Divers
Maison Close reserves the right to review any participation in the Maison Close Refer-A-Friend Scheme to ensure that no fraudulent activity is involved and may take steps to terminate it. Any Refer-A-Friend Bonus obtained as a result of fraudulent activity or activity contrary to the terms and conditions of the Maison Close Refer-A-Friend Scheme will be null and void and Maison Close may request a refund.
Maison Close may suspend, terminate or modify these Refer-A-Friend scheme conditions at any time and for any reason.
If any section of these terms and conditions becomes void or unenforceable, you will remain bound by the remaining sections. In such cases, each Participant shall at least agree to an effect similar to the article declared void or unenforceable.
To the extent provided by law, the terms and conditions of the Maison Close Refer-A-Friend scheme shall be exclusively subject to and interpreted in accordance with French law.
